Description: In this session, we will discuss the opportunity to elevate and center women’s leadership in philanthropy, the best practices leading donors are implementing, and what is needed to move the needle in this urgent moment for the rights and liberties of women and girls around the world. Anchored in case studies and learnings from the Women Moving Millions membership, we will discuss how by coming together in community, women donors are charting a bold, purposeful course for a gender equal future.

Introduction to Our Guest Speaker

Jessica Lee is the Senior Director of Partnerships and External Affairs at Women Moving Millions. In this role she is responsible for revenue generation, communications, and strategic partnerships. Jessica has fifteen years of experience working alongside visionary leaders to resource, structure, and implement innovative social change initiatives. Prior to Women Moving Millions, Jessica led philanthropic initiatives at Root Capital, a nonprofit agricultural lender. Jessica also oversaw sales, marketing, and distribution for the award-winning documentaries produced by Jennifer Siebel Newsom at The Representation Project. She has additional experience in consulting, program management, and consumer marketing in the food & beverage industry. Jessica currently serves as a Trustee for Jeremiah Program, an organization serving single mothers and their children in Boston. She started her career at Ashoka, a pioneer in the field of social entrepreneurship. Jessica holds a B.A. in Anthropology and French from Georgetown University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She lives outside of Boston with her family.
