Introduction to Our Guest Speaker
Jeff Savlov is a consultant to enterprising families and is the founding principal of Blum & Savlov, LLP – Family Business & Wealth Consulting. Jeff’s specialty is working with families who want their wealth to serve current and future generations in healthy and productive ways. He engages families at the intersection of family dynamics and ownership, management and leadership of shared assets. Jeff speaks in the U.S. and internationally and has been quoted in the NY Times, Family Business Magazine, and authors a popular blog – “The Family Business Minute.”
He worked in his family’s commercial printing business before a career in sales and marketing and then returned to graduate work in family and group dynamics. Jeff is also a family therapist, child play therapist and certified psychoanalyst.
Currently, he combines all these experiences practicing as a family business/wealth consultant working with multigenerational, enterprising families and their advisors to help families achieve sustainability. Key areas of interest are: coaching parents on raising children in a family business/wealth context, starting when very young, to harness potential and avoid common, painful pitfalls; sustainability of family wealth; values led family and business; entrepreneurialism in enterprising families as key to long-term success; family governance; development of the next generation.
