A member of the Million Dollar Speakers Group of the National Speakers Association, Kathy Loveless for 32 years has managed a professional speaking and management consulting firm with such clients as the CIA; U.S. Departments of Defense, Justice, and Interior; and hundreds of private-sector clients including DuPont, AT&T, and 3M Corporation.
Recently, she built a retreat near Park City, Utah where she holds events aimed at training and uniting families. For years, she has conducted sessions on how to use personal and family stories to connect generations.
She has spoken throughout Europe, the Far East, New Zealand, Canada and Africa, helping clients perform at levels never imagined.
Kathy began her career in Washington, D.C. at the Department of the Interior as Editor of the national magazine on water and power, Reclamation Era. She managed a 17-state program from Denver in Citizen Participation, and was Regional Public Affairs Officer for a 7-state region in Salt Lake City. She has been vice president of an investment banking firm, and marketing director of an independent energy company.
A Phi Beta Kappa graduate and Distinguished Alumna of the University of Utah, she holds a Masters of Science degree from American University in Washington, D.C. and has completed all but the dissertation defense for a Ph.D. in quantitative data analysis from George Washington University. As Miss Utah for Miss America, she spoke world wide and achieved the “Wizard” level of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. She was featured in an episode of The Learning Channel’s (TLC) national reality television show, “A Makeover Story,” now having aired more than 50 times in the U.S. and internationally.
A survivor of Stage IV, non-smoker lung cancer and COVID-19, she is an international cyclist and skier. Married for 40 years to the late Scott W. Loveless of Parr Brown Gee and Loveless, she shares principles of legacy with their two daughters and sons-in-law and nine grandchildren.
