Jane Beddall, MA, JD, is the principal of Dovetail Resolutions LLC., a firm dedicated to preventing and resolving damaging conflicts in ongoing valued relationships, with a focus on family enterprises and legacy families. She is a certified CINERGY conflict management coach, helping individuals become more competent in handling conflict effectively. She is also a mediator, often employing the transformative mediation approach. In early 2019, Jane launched the weekly podcast Crafting Solutions to Conflict, providing a practical and positive perspective on conflict. Jane has taught at the University of Connecticut School of Law and at the University of New Haven (Alternative Dispute Resolution). She is past president of the New England Chapter of the Association for Conflict Resolution and past co-chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Connecticut Bar Association.
In 2014, Jane received The Honorable Robert C. Zampano Award for Excellence in Mediation, which recognizes and celebrates leadership, initiative, and creativity in mediation in Connecticut.
She graduated from Trinity College (B.A. Economics) and then served as a VISTA volunteer in rural Colorado. She received her law degree, cum laude, and her M.A. in Public Policy Analysis, with a concentration in conflict resolution, from the University of Pennsylvania in 1984. Jane remains fascinated by conflict good, bad, and ugly more than 35 years later.
